چکیده:

Microsatellites or short tandem repeats (STRs) are interspersed throughout human genome, which are easily assayed. STRs are powerful genetic tools for genetic mapping and could be used for human identification due to their high level of polymorphisms. Two such markers have been identified with in FVIII (i.e. CA repeats in intron 13 and intron 22). If polymorphic they could be used for carrier detection and prenatal diagnosis of Hemophilia A.
Two CA repeat regions on FVIII gene on 20 male and 36 female samples were amplified by polymerase chain reaction and resolved on 12% polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis detected by silver staining.
