چکیده:

Insulin like growth factor is a polypeptide hormone with multiple biological functions thatconsider for predicting growth traits and meat quality in poultry. In this study, effect ofdifferent hepatic IGF-I mRNA was evaluated on production traits, including live weight(28d/gr), weight gain (gr) and feed conversion ratio in Arian male broiler chickens. Theexperiment was based on completely randomized design with seven levels of totalmethionine(0.29, 0.36, 0.43, 0.50, 0.64 and 0.71) at grower period with 4 replicationsand 20 chicks in each replication. In order to investigate gene expression, total RNA ofliver samples were extracted and applied for cDNA synthesis. Then, relative quantificationreal-time PCR was used to measure IGF-1 gene expression. The results showed that, therewas significant difference between groups in methionine various levels. So that, greatestand lowest IGF-1 gene expression was associated with 0.71 and 0.29 methioninelevel.The result of analysis, Linear Bivariate regression analysis between gene expressionas an independent variable and traits as a dependent variable, showed that phenotypictraits significantly are affected by changes in IGF-I gene expression. From above results itcan be concluded that IGF-I may have a significant role on performance and productiontraits.
